Andy Thompson is the driving force behind Premier UK Soccer. Andy plays a integral role in the dev elopment of all participants within Premier UK’s Structural Program. He has been with Premier UK for 2 years.

He has been involved in youth soccer for 8 years including coaching children within Professional Academies in England during the time he was completing his degree. He has worked in a number of States including Connecticut and New York but mainly within North Carolina.

Andy graduated from the University of Sunderland with a BSC (Hons) Degree in Sports and Exercise Development. Which involved studies in areas of Psychology of sport, sociology of sport, fitness, nutrition and coaching. He has Semi-Professional playing experience in England with West Auckland Town FC and Captained Sunderland University First Team while studying for his degree.

Andy also hold the following coaching qualifications: FA Level 1 & 2, including First Aid and Child Protection, UEFA B License, NCSAA National & Advanced Diploma and is listed on the Olympic Development Program Staff.

He is currently Head Coach for IRCD 98  Wolves Boys Team, ICRD oo’ Hammers’ Boys Team.

Nathan began employment with Premier UK Soccer August 2009 and began the role of Club Trainer to East Wake Soccer Association and Mebane Youth Soccer Association.

A native from Nantwich, England, Nathan grew up playing for Port Vale F.C and captained Stone Dominoes F. C. At the young age of 18, he moved across to the United States for a Men’s Soccer Scholarship for Lees-McRae College. He was part of the most winning team in the College’s history, winning the Conference Carolina Title and the Conference Carolina Tournament Title three times. He also appeared in the NCAA National Championship three years in a row reaching the Elite 8. He received a B.S. Honors Degree in Sport & Fitness Management and Minor Degree in Business becoming a four year Academic Honor Role student and the 2009 Sport Management student for his Graduating Class. During an extensive playing experience, Nathan travelled across to Colorado to play with the Colorado Rapids in the Mountains of Boulder, CO in the Professional Development League.

Nathan currently holds his FA Coaching Badges, NSCAA National Diploma, NSCAA Director of Coaching Diploma, USSF National Youth License, UEFA B License, NSCAA Level 1 & 2 Goal Keeper Certified, LMA Certificate in ‘Creating a Culture of Excellance’,American Red-Cross CPR/AED Certified, Football Association Child Protection Certified.

Nathan is currently the Director of Coaching for East Wake Soccer Association. Additionally he is the Head Coach for the EWSA U13 Lady Hammers’, EWSA U14 Lady HAmmers and the EWSA U13 Hammers alongside being the Youth Academy Director for EWSA> He also holds several contacts for college opportunies in the United States and involved in the Olympic Development Program for NC.

Premier UK Soccer welcome Peter Broadley in 2013 to serve as Director of Player Develpoment. Peter brings an extensive wealth of knowledge and experience to the program. Alongside this, Peter will be helping/advising staff to develop and improve throughout the year.

Chris Nugent-Professional Coach

Chris is from Surrey, England and grew up playing playing for Aldershot Town, currently of the Football League 2. He moved to America in 2006 where he bacame a player development coach and a club trainer in Massachusetts. Chris attended college in Nashua, NH where he graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology. He was a four year starter and a three year captain, of the schools NCAA soccer program. He led the team in goals and points in each of his four seasons and currently holds the school record for career goals and points. During his time in America Chris has played and trained with various teams from the USL, NPSL and MLS, most recently with Mass United.

Chris is currently the Technical Director for ICRD and Head Coach of the 99 Boys ICRD Hammers. He also holds several contacts for college opportunies in the United States and involved in the Olympic Development Program for NC.

Chris has been involved in coaching youth soccer for 6 years and holds his FA Level 1 & 2 including the Emergency Aid, UEFA B License, Child  Protection and FA Laws of the Game.

Scott Well-Professional Coach

Scott brings a extensive back ground of playing experience and knowledge to Premier UK. After played professional soccer for Coventry City, Derby County, Sheffield Wednesday, New Orleans Jesters and Tamworth FC. While at Derby, he also obtained a National Diploma in Sports and Excellence. After his time with Derby County, in 2007, he accepted a scholarship to study and play in the United States. He joined Santa Barbara CC in 2007 transferring to Limestone College in the 2009. Scott then moved back home to the UK to join Tamworth in the blue square conference. This sadly ended due to a long struggling injury which Progressively got worst from time at Limestone. Scott will now graduate at the end of 2013 with a Bachelor Of Arts in Liberal Studies. Scott also holds his Football Association Level 2 Award.

Scott is an ambitious, hard working young man that wants to make  a massive impact on the progression of youth soccer within the United States. Scott will be working with Premier as Director of Coaching for Sampson County Soccer League, in Clinton, NC.

Luke Duffy-Professional Coach

Luke began employment January 2012 with Premier UK Soccer Coaching. He is an asset to the business and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge after previous experiences in the United States and United Kingdom.

Luke is a native of Wakefield, England. Luke played for Doncaster Rovers FC before moving to the United States for a soccer scholarship with Lees-McRae College at the age of 18. He was a part of a tradition rich soccer program, winning the conference three times, conference Carolinas tournament twice. He appeared in the NCAA Division II tournament all four years and in 2009 reaching the National Final. Luke received many accolades during his time on the Lees-McRae soccer programme, leading the program in minutes played. He graduated December 2011 with a B.S in Sports Science. During the summer 2011 Luke travelled across to West Virginia to play with the West Virginia Chaos in the Premier Development League. Luke is currently the Assisitant men’s soccer coach at Lenoir-Rhyne University.

Luke brings a rich playing experience to Premier UK, he also has a FA level 2 coaching qualification as well as American Red-Cross CPR/AED Certified, Football Association Child Protection Certified.

He is the current coach of the ICRD U 13 Hammers, ICRD U17 Bulldogs and ICRD U17 Lady Wolves

 

Adam Tipper-Professional Coach

Born and bread out of Birmingham England, Adam has been involved with soccer all his life. Whilst playing for Sutton Coldfield College Academy he gained his FA level 1 & 2 by the age of 16. Upon completion of College, he went to The University of Derby to study a degree in Sports Coaching. Alongside this, he coached for Derby County F.C gaining valuable experience. On completion of his studies he became a scout for Wolverhampton wanders F.C and was manger of the Community Fusion Program, which became a development centre for the Wolves developmental players, in addition to setting up his own goalkeeping school. Adam brings great experience after running and assessing qaulifactions for Premier Skills, where he mentors and improves coaches in the local areas.  He has already had two stints out in America working in New Jersey and Atlantic City.

Adam brings former professional playing experience from Buxton F.C, Sutton United F.C and Saltley Stallions F.C, along with the  Sports Coaching Degree, FA Qualifications, Goalkeeping Qualification and completion of the A1 Assessors Licence.

Matt started coaching with Premier UK soccer coaching in February 2013.

Matt is originally from Portsmouth in England. Matt started his coaching career at 16 years of age where he was coaching for Portsmouth in the community. He then went over to the KICKZ project, and coached young adults between 12 to 19 year olds. He took an under 14’s team to the southern region tournament where they played at Tottenham hotspurs training ground, the under 14s progressed to national finals where it was held at the famous Manchester United’s ground Old Trafford finishing 2nd. He also took the under 19s to play at the national final at Aston Villa’s ground Villa Park.

Matt studied at college for 4 years where he gained a BTEC First diploma in Sport (Exercise and Fitness) he then went on to gain a BTEC National Certificate in Sport (Development, Coaching and Fitness) Gaining top marks. While at college matt also completed his NCFE Level 1 in Exercise Studies, and NCFE Level 2 in Sports Coaching, Sports Leaders UK level 2 award in Community Sports Leadership. While also completing his FA Level 1 and 2 Football Coaching badges.

Matt then progressed onto Southampton Solent University where he gained a BA HONS Degree in Football Studies, being taught by a number of Professors heavily involved with the Premier League.

Robbie began employment In January 2012 with Premier UK Soccer Coaching.

Robbie is a native of Middlesbrough, England. In England Robbie played for Professional Academies such as Middlesbrough, Darlington and Bradford. As well as playing at the semi- pro level for Marske FC. At the age of 18 Robbie moved to the United States for a soccer scholarship with Carson Newman College. During his time at College he won the South Atlantic Conference three times, as well as appearing in the NCAA Division II tournament in 2 of those years. In 4 years of college soccer, Robbie received four 1st team all conference awards. Three 1st team all region awards as well as one 2nd team and 2 National 2nd team Daktronics awards. He also holds the record for most goals and points in Carson Newman history. He graduated December of 2012 with a B.A in General Psychology. During the past three summers in the
United States Robbie has also played semi-pro in the NPSL playing for Chattanooga FC and Knoxville Force.

Robbie helped coach Carson Newman last year to second in the conference before deciding to bring his experience and coaching to Premier UK. Robbie holds a FA level 1 coaching qualification as well as American Red-Cross CPR/AED Certified, Football Association Child Protection Certified. He also holds several contacts for college opportunies in the United States.

Robbie will serve as the Head Coach for the U12 EWSA Dynamite and Head Coach for the EWSA Youth Academy Program in the Spring, 2013.
